Depictions of DN

On Tour

We brought the Depictions of DN film out into communities in Doncaster using an LED screen on a Van provided by Select Events.

During the tour we took the van to Thorne, The Doncaster Deaf Trust, ASDA, Town Field Primary School and Doncaster Royal Infirmary. Thank you to everyone who let us visit and helped us spread the Depictions of DN joy.

Day One

On Day One we visited Thorne. Two of our Top Local Heroes in the Depictions of DN film are from Thorne so it was fantastic to bring it to their community. Firstly we visited Susan Durant’s Lunch Club and finished our day on Finkle Street.

Day Two

On Day Three we took the van to three different locations. Firstly we stopped by the Doncaster Deaf Trust to visit Local Hero Emma Lucy and her students. Following this we stopped off at ASDA to celebrate local heroes and finished our day at Town Field Primary School, sharing the film with Sarah Fletcher and Helena Honeybone’s students and parents of the school.

Day Three

We finished the tour of Depictions of DN at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. Two of our Local Heroes are staff members at the hospital so it was wonderful to bring the film to their colleagues and patients.

Whilst we were out touring the film, we were lucky enough to chat to some members of the public to get their thoughts on the film. Watch the film below to see what the community thought about the film.
