Into the Park is back!
This time we are popping up in Rossington (Pickle Park) and Denaby (Memorial Park).
This year we are bringing The Luminarium to both parks. As the Luminarium has limited capacity, we are offering ticketed time slots that we ask you to book on so we can manage numbers.
Please note the first slot is an access slot, with reduced capacity.
About the Luminarium
The Luminarium - Architects of Air, by Alan Parkinson is coming to Doncaster this May to the Minster’s East Lawn!
A Luminarium is a sculpture people enter to be moved to a sense of wonder at the beauty of light and colour. A dazzling maze of winding paths and soaring domes where natural forms, Islamic architecture, Archimedean solids and Gothic cathedrals meld into an inspiring mix of design and engineering.
As we want the Luminarium to be enjoyable and safe for everyone who enters, we do have a couple of rules to follow whilst you’re in there.
Do not run - once inside please take your time and walk slowly, keep to the paths that are in contact with the ground as the plastic is delicate.
Do not jump or slide down the walls as you might hurt yourself or damage the luminarium.
Be mindful of other visitors with whom you are sharing the space – the Luminarium is intended to be a calm and contemplative experience.
For those of you with children under 16, it is important your children stay with you at all times.
There are many domes and pods where you can sit down and lay down, you are welcome to lean against the base of the walls and absorb the ambiance.
No food or drink is allowed inside the Luminarium.
No shoes are allowed inside the Luminarium
You are welcome to take photos.
Children under 16 years will only be admitted accompanied by an adult. 1 adult for 4 children.
The Luminarium is accessible to wheelchair users.
The Luminarium is not an environment that is suitable for assistance dogs, so we ask that they remain outside.
