Right Up Our Street is an Arts Council Funded Community Arts Project and is a network of people across the City of Doncaster creating and being a part of brilliant art and culture.
What is Right Up Our Street?
Right Up Our Street is a community-led Creative People and Places arts programme funded by Arts Council England.
We bring brilliant art activities and events to the people of Doncaster.
We work in partnership with Doncaster’s communities, listening to what they need and want, and co-creating an arts programme that is relevant and meaningful.
Right Up Our Street and Doncaster’s local communities make all sorts of inspiring art, with activities happening in exciting ways and taking place in surprising locations.
Our Mission 2026-2029
Over the next three years, we will:
• Work with communities across all 21 wards of Doncaster, listening to local people and supporting them to shape cultural activity.
• Celebrate local stories, people and places, creating opportunities for communities to connect and share what matters to them.
• Build pride in Doncaster, showcasing the creativity, talent and potential across the borough.
• Share learning, ideas and resources, helping bring new thinking to Doncaster and supporting others to develop and grow.
• Listen, learn and improve, using feedback to understand the difference we make and adapt our work.
• Build a sustainable future for Right Up Our Street, developing strong partnerships and new opportunities so our work can continue to grow.
