Circles of Life

with Balby Bridge Artist in Residence Lucy McLellan

Circles of Life is an immersive art installation celebrating the voices, creativity, and individuality of the Balby Bridge community through handmade felt flowers. The project is led by Lucy, Right Up Our Street's Artist in Residence at Balby Bridge.

As part of the project, children are invited to take part in a short, informal conversation about their favourite colour and why it means something to them. These conversations are designed to encourage self-expression and celebrate each child's unique perspective.

Each child's response inspires the creation of a handmade felt flower crafted by Lucy. Together, these flowers form the Circles of Life installation, with every flower representing an individual story and contributing to a collective artwork.
