Project Manager – Right Up Our Street (Arts Council England)

£32,146  Per Annum | 37 hrs per week | Doncaster 

We’re looking for a creative and community-focused Project Manager to deliver inspiring arts projects in Doncaster, with a focus on the Balby Bridge and Hexthorpe areas as well as our Priority Communities strand. You’ll work with local residents to co-create events and activities that reflect community needs, from performances to public art.

 Key responsibilities:

What We’re Looking For

You’ll have experience managing and producing projects, ideally within the arts or community sector, and a track record of ongoing professional development. A relevant degree or training qualification is desirable. 

You’re an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and organisational skills, able to manage deadlines, use a range of IT tools, and adapt quickly to changing needs. Flexibility to work across Doncaster and occasional evenings is required.

Project Manager - Job Description

 

PROJECT MANAGER This is a part-time post that was appointed to ensure continuity of relationships with priority communities, specifically within the Balby Bridge and Hexthorpe area and our community led Priority Communities Strand. The post holder is required to manage and deliver projects that respond to community panels. Holding relationships with artists and institutions in order to deliver programmes of work that are relevant within specific localities.

Line Management: The Project Manager is line managed by the Right Up Our Street Director.

Duties will Include:  

Project Management

-       To lead on and be the main point of contact for project delivery

-       Working with Director to shape artistic vision in response to community need

-       To oversee and ensure project copy and documentation is created according to the needs of the Marketing & Insights Manager

-       Manage budgets in relation to project work. 

Forging and Maintaining Relationships

-       Act as point of contact for community groups

-       Attending strategic meetings

-       Ensure that all Right Up Our Street stakeholders – internal and external – are kept informed of project commissions and developments

-       Actively seeking out new partners

-       Assisting Freelance Project Managers, enabling them to feel embedded in Right Up Our Street

-       To oversee and manage long-term project delivery within the Balby Bridge area, including the Artist in Residence.

-       Facilitating and creating community panels

-       To be a recognised and trusted friend representing Right Up Our Street in priority areas liaise and be the main point of contact for Artists.

-       Devise and issue contracts for commissioned work

Event Delivery - organise and manage high quality and safe events

-       Advise on, coordinate and support the development of projects, working with the Programme Producer & Director

-       Ensure that Event Plans, Risk Assessments and Risk Register are completed against all activity

-       Lead on specific project management and event logistics as required, referring all health and safety elements to health & safety lead prior to events

 Project Monitoring and Data Collection

-       Assist the Marketing & Insights Manager with collecting and collating all Right Up Our Street data

-       Working with the Marketing & Insights manager to ensure that any data that is collected is stored in a GDPR compliant way

Wider Programme Support including day to day activities and delivery

-       Support the delivery of Right Up Our Street events

-       Liaise with other CPP projects across the national network, to share learning and advocate on behalf of the Arts Council England Creative People and Places project.

-       Provide written and verbal reports as requested by the Director

-       Represent Right Up Our Street at events, meetings, and other functions

-       To work additional/flexible hours as directed or necessary (possibly at short notice) as required by the Right Up Our Street Consortium and the appointed staff to meet operational manning levels.
