Mission

The programme needs to be a successful combination of the imagination and inspiration of the artists and the understanding and aspiration of communities. In simple terms, we need to create great pieces of art that people in Doncaster want to engage with.

With this in mind, we will continue to ensure community led decision making is central to all we do. We will ensure this happens in the following ways:

Transparency: In order that everyone involved in Right Up Our Street has trust and confidence in the programme and the way it operates, we believe it is important to be open and transparent about decisions.

Representation: We’ve consciously aimed to avoid complication and structure where possible when designing our decision making process, but where we have formal groups we’ve made sure communities and artists are fairly represented.

Dialogue: Fundamental to our approach, to every discussion, decisions and action will be the way we make people feel. How they are listened to and how everyone on the programme communicates.
